Twelve years of considered practice

"The quality of attention you bring to a home tells a homeowner everything they need to know about how you'll treat their space."

— Fennel Rokse, Founder

Fennel Rokse was established in Kuala Lumpur in 2013 as a deliberate alternative to high-volume electrical contractors. The founder noticed that homeowners — particularly those living in newer condominiums and terrace developments around the Kampung Baru corridor — were frequently left with incomplete explanations after electrical visits. They received a completed job but not necessarily an understood one.

The practice was built around a different model: fewer jobs done more carefully, with a written record for every visit, and upgrade decisions left firmly with the homeowner. The team grew selectively over the years, with every technician brought in sharing that same preference for measured, considered work over hurried throughput.

Today Fennel Rokse serves homes across the Klang Valley, with a particular depth of experience in contemporary residential interiors — properties where the electrical infrastructure needs to match the considered aesthetic of the space itself. The practice holds no franchise relationships and carries no third-party sales obligations of any kind.

Clear Communication

Every finding is explained in plain terms. We write summaries you can keep and reference without depending on us to interpret them later.

No Pressure Decisions

We present options honestly and leave decisions with you. There are no upgrade targets, no tied commissions, and no urgency language in our vocabulary.

Documented Work

A written record accompanies every job. This supports your own reference, any future work by other technicians, and property transaction documentation where relevant.

How we maintain the quality of our work

JKR Electrical Licensing

All technicians hold valid Jabatan Kerja Raya electrical competency certification, as required under the Malaysian Electricity Supply Act 1990.

Regulation Compliance

Work follows MS IEC 60364 wiring standards and Tenaga Nasional Berhad supply requirements applicable to residential properties.

Calibrated Test Equipment

Insulation resistance testers, RCD trip-time meters, and loop impedance equipment are calibrated and maintained on a regular schedule.

Safe Isolation Procedure

A documented safe isolation procedure is followed before every job, including lock-off equipment where required to protect both the home and the technician.

Written Job Records

Every visit produces a written summary. Copies are held on file and provided to the client, useful for insurance, property sales, or future reference.

Data & Privacy Care

Client contact information and home records are held securely and never shared with third parties. Our privacy approach complies with Malaysia's PDPA 2010.

Home electrical work in the Klang Valley presents a range of conditions that a generic contractor may not be equipped to navigate well. Older properties in Kampung Baru and Chow Kit often carry single-phase wiring from the 1980s running alongside post-2000 consumer additions, creating layered circuit arrangements that reward careful reading over quick fixes. Contemporary condominiums in KLCC and Mont Kiara bring a different set of considerations — imported fittings with non-standard junction requirements, high-end kitchen circuits, and building management interfaces that require coordination with the developer's panel specifications.

Fennel Rokse has built its operating knowledge precisely within these conditions. The practice has worked across both property types extensively, developing a methodical approach to reading existing installations before any recommendation is formed. This is not a universal rarity among residential electricians — but it is less common than it should be, and it sits at the centre of how this practice defines quality work.

The Malaysian residential electrical market is well-served at volume. What Fennel Rokse offers is a different relationship: fewer clients, more time per visit, and a standard of documentation and communication that treats your home as an asset worth understanding carefully.
